My Grandparents have been married for 60 years!

Just a quick post to tell you about my amazing grandparents. Last week (2nd August) was their 60th (diamond) wedding anniversary. How amazing?! They have gone through a pretty tough year, loosing their son and medical issues but have come out the other side still as much in love as they were that Saturday afternoon at 2pm 60 years ago when they took their vows. They got married in Redruth, where I was born and went to the cinema for their after-do! -how times have changed. They are two of the biggest most influential people in my life and without them I wouldn't be the person I am today. I love them very much.

Here is their wedding photo of them cutting the cake on their wedding day:

How vintage does this look? I love this picture so much. I managed to get our local newspaper reporters to their house on the day of the anniversary, they did a fab write up and took a lovely photo:

And finally, we took them out for lunch to a rather posh hotel near their house, had a lovely mean and I surprised them by having a beautiful cake made.

Just, beautiful!

Blink 182 gig @ Eden Project

When I was growing up, I went through all the 'usual' phases as a kid; punk, goth, emo etc and with that, I was into all the relevant music. But all through, I loved pop music and Blink 182 was an all-time favourite. But like everything, I grew out of them and didn't listen to them much as I got older. But when it was announced that they would be playing one of the Eden Sessions, Chris & I jumped at the chance to re-live our teenage years.

To be fair, before hand I was mainly excited because of the venue; The Eden Sessions are renowned as the 'one-day festivals' and have such a great reputation and what a better venue?!

I did, I admit get quite drunk but I was enjoying the music, atmosphere and cider! whats wrong with that?! I had such a great night and it really was like rewinding back to when I was 14 and I even re-kindled my love with Blink and haven't stopped listening to their new album.

Here are some shots of the night...

Here are Mark Hoppus' & Travis Barkers Tweets after the gig:

And finally, my ultimate 'celebrity crush' (I have a thing for drummers)

All-in-all it was a GREAT night! I feel very lucky to have been there and see Blink in my home county. I will definitely be going to more Eden Sessions next year!

Holiday: Menorca 2012

I've been away from the blogging scene for a while. No particular reason, but loads has gone one since! I've not long been back from my summer holiday. It was very last minute too! My mum has lived in Menorca since 2008 and I try and get out there once a year...so off me & chris went!

Here are a few snaps...
