a weekend in the big city.

For my 24th birthday my main present from Chris was a trip up to Kingston or the weekend and tickets for us to go see Sarah Millican at the Hammersmith Apollo. I knew about this for ages and was counting down the days until we were off work and set of to the big city. It takes about 5 hours for us to drive to the London area and wow we're out asses numb! But eventually we made it to Kingston Holiday Inn. A very posh hotel too! Out weekend was filled with shoppig around Kingston and the Bentalls centre, screaming with excited ness at the Cath Kidston & Jo Malone shops (two things I'd never sen in real life before!), eating and laughing. Sarah Millican was the best comedy show I'd ever seen. What a beaut that woman is! I feel very special walking around London and it truly is so different to everything I'm used to. People don't quite realise how scary London is to a girl like me!

Nevertheless we had a fantastic weekend! And I can't wait to go to Kingston again! Thanks to my gorgeous fiancé for this trip :)

stomp! | face of the evening.

Yup....you can tell winter is coming by the look of my make-up! I am now going back to my winter shades in foundation and cutting back on the ol' bronzer.

I went out for the night last week; dinner & a show and wanted a casual but long lasting look.

I used my Photo ready foundation is 'vanilla', warmed up with some Chanel Bronze Universal, Body Shop concealer in light, Urban Decay Naked palette for eyes with MAC Zoom-lash mascara. Finished off with a bit of blush and a sweep of powder. My make up stayed on all night and was still going strong when I got home-pretty happy with that!

Last week was my little brothers 12th birthday. I'm a bit old fashioned a completely disagree with kids these days so obsessed with computer games (as my brother is!) so as a super duper special treat I teamed up with my sister and we bought him tickets to the hit show 'Stomp!'

So last Friday we picked him up after school, went to Pizza Express for yummy dinner then off to the theatre! The show was at our local (and only) theatre Hall For Cornwall; a very intimate venue but does the job just fine! And what can I say? This show was incredible, way better than anticipated. The Stomp! crew are truly talented and kept the audience on the edge of their seats for the whole hour 45 minutes an begging for more after.

It's a simple concept-making noise and rhythm using household items ie dust bins, lighters, newspapers and their bodies. They included quite a lot of comedy too which was great an had us three crying with laughter at some points and involving the audience with the beats was a great treat too.

This show is amazing for kids of any age as well as everybody else! I would not think twice about seeing it again and was so glad we got the chance to go-my brother loved it!
